Advantages of FUE

This is one of the two primary types of hair transplant surgery of obtaining follicular unit for hair transplantation.

·         In this method, individual follicular units are extracted from patient’s donor area, one at a time.

·         Advanced FUE helps in creation of larger donor pools by harvesting hair follicles from areas other than head, like from legs, arms, chest, beard, abdomen and back face.

·         Recovery time in FUE is generally quicker.

·         There is significantly less post operative discomfort in FUE as compared to other transplantation methods.

·         Where scalp is not suitable for strip extraction, FUE method helps in the hair transplantation.

·          Post operative scars and injuries are generally smaller and less in FUE method as very little skin is removed, only hair and surrounding tissue is removed. All scars fade away with time. Generally there is no post operative stitching required in this method, as skin is not removed.

As is the case with any aspect of life it has two sides, if you have brighter side then there is darker side too. Similarly there are few disadvantages of FUE procedure too.

Disadvantages of FUE

·         Since in FUE method hair can be taken from any part of the body you may find it painful.  You may need to take anesthesia for hair may be taken from all over the body. There may be pain of injections all over the body too, where ever the hair is being extracted from.

·         This process may work out to be a little expensive as it is labor intensive and highly specialized. As each hair needs to be removed for these types of hair transplant surgery. The surgery takes a longer time and you need a specialized surgeon too.

Importance of going in for the FUE method

All said and done FUE method is safest nowadays with advanced hair transplant surgery evolving too. May be it is little expensive but is much safer; you may regenerate your money but not your health. It is important for people to understand the surgery done under experienced surgeons and modern techniques may be little expensive and may take a little longer time but any day is more efficient with minimal blood loss and injury caused to body. Though other methods of hair transplantation are quite effective and prevalent too, one wants the best for themselves. The FUE method is considered the best and safest hair transplant method one can go in for.
